The Passionate Stranger (1957)
Oh dear, this film is rather dull. It's a 1950s 'melodrama within a farce' that is neither particularly dramatic nor particularly farcial. In fact, I spent most of the film waiting for it to end. Unforunately, I didn't manage to fall asleep. Is there anything interesting I can say about it?
The producers employed noted fashion designer Norman Hartnell to design the dresses for Margaret Leighton. They got their money's worth: she wears a total of 21 outfits. And here they are:
